Painted at a time when the artist moved house every month, the geometric forms suggest an abstraction of reality—a room, a table, a bed, a chair. These temporary shelters repeat across unfamiliar places, and the figure finds anchoring in her own self in the ever-drifting cubicle of air. The painting explores the experiences of migration: transient yet present, steady but volatile.
